Arlógica – Máquinas e Equipamentos, Unipessoal Lda (NIF 504733680) is a compressed-air service and equipment company based at Árvore, Vila do Conde (4480-624), north of Porto, which Atlas Copco Group acquired on 2 October 2024 and placed in its Compressor Technique business area. With nine employees at the time of the deal, according to Atlas Copco’s acquisitions register, it gives the Swedish group a directly owned sales and aftermarket channel to industrial compressed-air users in northern Portugal.
Arlógica describes itself as a personalised compressed-air service business: preventive maintenance, repair, rental and the design and installation of compressed-air networks for compressors of every make, backed by its own UNI range of parts and lubricants, which it says are tested on all brands, and by AIRnet, the modular aluminium piping system that is an Atlas Copco product line. Its website now carries the group’s standard country notices and addenda, a small sign of integration. The company is registered as a single-shareholder limited company at Árvore, in the municipality of Vila do Conde, inside the Porto metropolitan area’s industrial belt of textile, food, metalworking and plastics plants that are the natural customers for compressed-air service contracts.
The acquisition is recorded in Atlas Copco Group’s public register of acquisitions and divestments on 2 October 2024, the same day the group booked Easy Filtration SRL in Italy and a day before Perslucht Wilda B.V. in the Netherlands, all small compressor-service or distribution businesses. That is the pattern: the Swedish group buys local distributors and service shops in order to own the aftermarket relationship rather than share it with independent dealers. NorthSouth HQ’s directory also profiles Atlas Copco Portugal and Lusoar, another Portuguese compressed-air business under the same umbrella, and Neadvance Machine Vision, the Braga software house the group bought in March 2025.
Bolt-on deals of this size rarely make the news, but they are the most frequent form Nordic capital takes in Portugal: a Swedish industrial group with 56,000 employees buying a nine-person service company because proximity to the customer’s compressor room is worth more than the price tag. For Portuguese owners of distribution and service businesses, Arlógica is a reference point for what a strategic exit to a Nordic group looks like; for Nordic groups, it is a template for entering the Portuguese aftermarket without building a branch from scratch.
