Nordic-rooted enterprise software group building digital health, fintech and smart-building systems, founded in 1996 and now domiciled in Schindellegi, Switzerland, with shares listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen. Runs a Lisbon office as part of a delivery network spanning offices in around a dozen countries.
Trifork was founded in 1996 and grew out of the Danish software-engineering scene into a group of dozens of small, customer-facing business units. The parent, Trifork Group AG, is domiciled in Schindellegi, Switzerland, with shares listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen under the ticker TRIFOR. The group employs roughly 1,200 people on trailing-twelve-month revenue of about USD 254 million, organised around three vertical areas — Digital Health, FinTech and Smart Buildings — and three horizontal ones: Cloud Operations, Cyber Protection and Smart Enterprise.
Trifork opened a Lisbon office, reported in the group’s Q1 2022 results alongside a headcount that had passed 1,000 across more than 60 customer-facing business units. Portugal sits inside a delivery footprint that spans offices in around a dozen countries across Europe and North America.
Trifork represents the most replicable Nordic model in Portugal: not a factory or a sales subsidiary, but an engineering unit inside a federated delivery network serving Northern European clients. For Nordic software groups weighing Portugal, the relevant precedent is not whether a Lisbon office is possible but whether it can carry billable delivery for regulated-industry customers — and Trifork has been answering that question in the affirmative since 2022.
