Corridor footprint

nif.pt and the racius register list the company as Tons Púrpura, S.A. (NIF 508358639), a public limited company at Rua Real 1766, 4765-148 Pedome, in the municipality of Vila Nova de Famalicão (Braga district). Racius records its incorporation on 27 December 2007, a share capital of €50,000 and balance sheets from 2008 to 2024. Its activity is the dyeing and finishing of textile knits (CAE 13301, bleaching and dyeing), with a secondary code for the recovery and processing of non-metallic waste (CAE 38322). On its website the company calls itself a family business with decades of experience in the textile sector. It describes dyeing in state-of-the-art automated jets with an automatic dosing and distribution system for dyes and auxiliaries, technical and aesthetic finishing on modernised stenters, and an in-house laboratory for colour matching, fastness and compatibility testing. It also says it uses photovoltaic and biomass energy and reuses water to cut consumption.

The Nordic link is H&M Group. H&M’s public supplier list (August 2026 edition, version 1.2) names the Tons Púrpura site at Rua Real 1766 as a component unit owned by the supplier itself (“owned by (in-house)”), in the 1–500 workers band, with less than three years of business with H&M. The list gives no product type or material certifications for the site and reports trade-union status as “data not available”. Tons Púrpura appears on the list under its own name as supplier, rather than as a subcontractor of a garment maker.

Why this matters for the corridor

H&M Group’s v1.2 list has 63 Portuguese rows, sixth of 32 countries, and 33 of them — Tons Púrpura included — have less than three years of business with the Swedish group. Tons Púrpura is one of 18 Portuguese rows listed as component or processing units rather than garment factories, and one of 11 such units added in the last three years, alongside the Barcelos dyer and printer Acatel. These listings show H&M naming the dye houses and finishers that sit behind Portuguese garment production, as well as the garment makers themselves. NorthSouth HQ examined the list in its 6 October analysis. See also its H&M profile.
