Tearfil – Indústria Têxtil, S.A. (NIF 514993820), registered at Avenida Comendador Joaquim de Almeida Freitas 3, 4815-270 Moreira de Cónegos, Guimarães, is a yarn-spinning mill founded in 1973 and owned since July 2019 by the entrepreneur Maria de Belém Machado, who bought the business from the MoreTextile group. It is the yarn-development partner of Finland’s Spinnova Plc: a non-binding letter of intent signed on 14 January 2026 secured Tearfil access to SPINNOVA fibre volumes for yarn blends aimed at European textile customers, and on 17 September 2026 Spinnova signed a further letter of intent to acquire all of Tearfil’s shares at an initial valuation of €500,000 in cash and Spinnova shares, with completion targeted for Q1 2027 and a €1.5 million bridge loan during Tearfil’s PER restructuring. Tearfil’s turnover was €8.57 million in 2025 (€12.94 million in 2024).
