Corridor footprint

Solzaima operates a 20,000 m² manufacturing plant in Aguada de Cima (Águeda, Aveiro district) producing ceramic stoves, pellet stoves, biomass boilers and related solid-fuel heating equipment. The company employs roughly 200 people on site. Following the July 2023 majority acquisition, the business is now consolidated inside NIBE Industrier's NIBE Stoves business area, with NIBE acquiring the remaining 17% by 2028.

Why this matters

Solzaima sits inside the Portugal ↔ Scandinavia business corridor that NorthSouth HQ tracks every day. As Sweden's NIBE Industrier's first Iberian manufacturing platform and gateway into the pellet-products segment that dominates southern European biomass heating, Solzaima represents one of the cleaner Nordic capital investments into Portuguese industrial manufacturing — and a textbook example of how Nordic strategic buyers consolidate adjacent European niches.
