Solar de Cambres, Lda produces the Casa de Cambres wines at Quinta do Casal, Rua do Pio 427, 5100-409 Cambres, Lamego, in the Douro Vinhateiro, where the estate house was fully restored as a Casa de Campo wine-tourism property in 2014 and a 2016–2018 FEDER-supported internationalisation project (€245,019 eligible cost, €110,259 EU grant) shifted the business from bulk sales to bottled wine. Casa de Cambres Reserva Red 2021 entered Systembolaget’s fixed assortment on 1 December 2025 through Rinique AB (art. 2018201, SEK 129), making it stockable by every Systembolaget store in Sweden.
Casa de Cambres is a family estate on the south bank of the Douro at Cambres, just below Lamego, built around the Quinta do Casal and its manor house, which was restored as a rural-tourism property in 2014 with the original layout kept intact. The company sells Douro DOC reds, whites and a Reserva under the Casa de Cambres label, and its Tinto Reserva was ranked twentieth in a 2020 Top 100 Best Buy list, a ranking the estate features on its site. A FEDER-funded project running from June 2016 to May 2018, with an eligible cost of €245,019, was explicitly aimed at moving the business away from selling wine in bulk and towards its own bottled brand in export markets.
The Swedish listing is the clearest result of that shift. On 1 December 2025 Systembolaget placed Casa de Cambres Reserva Red 2021 in its fast sortiment — the fixed assortment that every one of the monopoly’s stores can stock — at SEK 129, through the importer Rinique AB. A fixed-range slot is the most valuable position a Portuguese producer can hold in Sweden, because it is allocated by tender and reviewed on set dates rather than ordered store by store.
Casa de Cambres shows the route that small Douro estates without a Port-house parent are taking into the Nordics: a modest EU-backed internationalisation grant, an importer willing to bid in a Systembolaget tender, and a single fixed-assortment reference that then pulls tourism and direct sales behind it. NorthSouth HQ’s Systembolaget census found only 91 Portuguese lines in the fixed range in September 2026, so each one carries weight.
Systembolaget’s product database showed the Reserva Red 2021 still in the fixed assortment on 16 September 2026, ten months after launch.
