In September 2020 Sul Informação reported that a Schroll-Flowers group company was growing 36 hectares of hydrangeas in Olhão.

On its website, Schroll Flavours describes itself as “a part of Schroll Medical located in Denmark”, a GACP-certified manufacturer of plant-based cannabinoids in southern Portugal that is working towards EU-GMP certification, with an office at Quinta Ana Velha in Quelfes (Olhão) and production at Rua Carlos da Maia, 8400-380 Lagoa.
