Rollerdoor is a Leiria-based manufacturer of sectional doors formed in 2020 from the combination of several long-established Portuguese brands. With around 400 employees and 2025 sales of about €58 million, it was acquired by Sweden’s ASSA ABLOY in April 2026.
Rollerdoor Group manufactures sectional doors for industrial and residential applications from its base in Leiria, in Portugal’s central industrial belt. The group was formed in 2020 when several long-established Portuguese door brands came together, and it has grown into one of Iberia’s significant door producers, employing around 400 people with 2025 sales of roughly €58 million and what its acquirer describes as a good EBIT margin.
On April 9, 2026, Stockholm-listed lock and access giant ASSA ABLOY announced the acquisition of Rollerdoor, folding the Portuguese group into Business Segment Industrial within its Entrance Systems Division. ASSA ABLOY said the purchase strengthens its position in the Iberian market and that combining Rollerdoor’s product range with its own creates a broader, more competitive portfolio; the deal was expected to be accretive to earnings per share from the start.
The acquisition is a textbook corridor transaction: a Swedish industrial group buying a scaled, profitable Portuguese manufacturer to serve Iberia and beyond. It gives Leiria a direct line into one of Sweden’s largest listed industrials — and adds Rollerdoor to the growing set of Portuguese factories operating inside Nordic ownership structures.
