Rodiro (Rodiro – Fábrica de Calçado, S.A., NIF 503152293) is a Felgueiras maker of men’s and women’s shoes, founded in 1991, that says it exports 100% of its turnover. ECO counted it in 2023 among Portugal’s five largest shoe producers, with sales above €44 million a year. H&M Group’s August 2026 supplier list names its Revinhade factory as an in-house footwear and bag & belt manufacturing unit with three to six years of business with H&M.
Rodiro is one of the big shoe factories of Felgueiras, the heart of Portugal’s footwear cluster. Racius lists Rodiro – Fábrica de Calçado, S.A. (NIF 503152293) at Travessa do Assento 61, Penacova, Felgueiras, with share capital of €270,000 and its activity under CAE 15201, footwear manufacturing. According to the company, Rodiro was founded in 1991 by three brothers and was restructured in 2008, for succession reasons and a change of strategy, by Rolando Costa and Ricardo Costa; Ricardo Costa, of the family’s second generation, has been CEO since 2014, and the management has since been reinforced with Vítor Martins. Rodiro says it runs three factories with capacity for 8,000 pairs of men’s and women’s shoes a day, has its own design and prototyping office, works for several internationally known brands, exports 100% of its turnover and owns two trademarks, Mansell’s and La Butta. In February 2023 ECO named Rodiro and Jefar, both from Felgueiras, as the two Portuguese-owned companies that round out the top five shoe producers in Portugal, each with sales above €44 million a year, almost all exported, and hundreds of jobs.
The Nordic link is H&M Group. H&M’s public supplier list (August 2026 edition, version 1.1) names the factory “Rodiro Fábrica de Calçado S.A. – Revinhade”, at Lugar do Outeiro in the Alto das Barrancas industrial zone in Revinhade, as an in-house (“owned by”) manufacturing unit for footwear and bags & belts, with three to six years of business with H&M and a workforce in the 1–500 band, 55% of it female. The same list names Rodiro as the supplier responsible for three contracted units in its H&M supply chain: the component maker Demoscore, Lda in Alcanena, Portugal; Alma Tannery SRL in Italy; and the shoe factory Potissimus Arrow Shoes Pvt Ltd in Vellore, India. That makes Rodiro more than a contract stitcher: for H&M it is a tier-one supplier that manages its own supply chain across three countries.
Footwear is one of Portugal’s best-known export industries, and Rodiro shows how a Felgueiras factory reaches a Nordic customer directly, as a named supplier on the Swedish retailer’s public list rather than through an agent. For Portuguese shoemakers looking north, it is also an example of scale: a family-run, fully exporting factory that works with contracted component suppliers in Portugal and Italy and a contracted factory in India on behalf of a Stockholm-based retailer.
18 February 2023 — ECO ranks Rodiro, with Jefar, among Portugal’s five largest shoe producers, each with annual sales above €44 million.
August 2026 — H&M Group’s public supplier list (v1.1) names Rodiro’s Revinhade factory with three to six years of business with H&M, plus three contracted units in Portugal, Italy and India.
