Corridor footprint

Ringkjøbing Landbobank is a Danish regional commercial bank with a long-running specialism in mid-size project finance for renewable energy assets in Denmark. In October 2025 the bank signed a €35 million project finance agreement with Greenvolt Power — the Portuguese KKR-controlled renewable-energy platform — to fund construction and operation of the Høegholm hybrid energy park in eastern Denmark.

The Høegholm asset combines 97.36 MW of solar PV with a 55–60 MW / 110–120 MWh battery energy storage system, targeting grid services and arbitrage. Together with Danish trader Reel (operational partner), the deal is among the most explicitly Danish-Portuguese named transactions inside the Iberian-Nordic renewable corridor.

Why this matters

The bank’s involvement validates Portuguese renewable-asset developers as bankable counterparties for Danish regional lenders — a corridor signal worth watching as more PT-controlled assets target the Nordic grid.
