Reel is a Danish B2B electricity provider focused on procurement, optimisation and balancing for commercial and industrial consumers. The company became a named corridor counterparty in 2025 when it signed a partnership with Portuguese renewable-energy developer Greenvolt Power to provide balancing and optimisation services at the Høegholm hybrid solar-plus-storage project in eastern Denmark.
The Høegholm site combines 97.36 MW of PV with a 55–60 MW / 110–120 MWh battery energy storage system. The Reel agreement — announced alongside Greenvolt’s €35M project finance with Ringkjøbing Landbobank — is the operational backbone for grid flexibility and arbitrage revenues once the park is fully commissioned.
Reel’s involvement makes the Høegholm project one of the most explicitly Portuguese-Danish renewable infrastructure assets currently in build. For Nordic-corridor watchers, it is a working example of Danish operational expertise paired with Iberian capital and project leadership.
