Quinta de Lemos sits at Silgueiros in the Dão, at 340 metres on the granite and sandy soils of the plateau protected by the Estrela, Caramulo, Buçaco and Nave ranges. The estate covers 50 hectares — 25 of vines, 7 of olive trees and the rest pine and market garden — and makes exclusively from native Dão varieties, with Hugo Chaves as winemaker and Cátia Correia in charge of the olive oil; the property also runs the Mesa de Lemos restaurant. Its Dona Georgina 2005 took a Gold Medal, the Portuguese Red Trophy and the Dão Trophy at the 2013 International Wine Challenge, the award the estate still leads with.
