Corridor footprint

Founded in 1918, Poças is one of the few remaining fully family-owned Port houses, sourcing from three estates in the Douro Demarcated Region and ageing an extensive stock of Tawny and Colheita Ports in its Vila Nova de Gaia cellars.

Poças Ports — including its Colheita range — are listed on Norway’s Vinmonopolet, the state monopoly that controls retail wine and spirits sales across the country. Port is a long-established Nordic favourite, and single-house Colheitas are exactly the kind of speciality the monopolies stock.

Why this matters for the corridor

Port wine is the oldest pillar of Portugal’s presence in Scandinavia, and the Nordic monopolies are a core market for it. A family house like Poças holding Vinmonopolet listings illustrates the durable, premium end of the Portugal-to-Nordics trade.
