Our Legacy is a Stockholm fashion label founded in 2005 by Jockum Hallin, Cristopher Nying and Richardos Klarén. Its own FAQ says that “almost all of our products are made in Portugal” and that the whole range is manufactured in Europe. That puts Portuguese contract factories at the centre of a Swedish brand with flagship stores in Stockholm, London and Berlin.
Our Legacy was launched in Stockholm in 2005 by Jockum Hallin, Cristopher Nying and Richardos Klarén. Today it runs flagship stores in Stockholm, London and Berlin, which also accept returns of online orders. On its own website the company answers the question “Where are your products produced?” directly: “Almost all of our products are made in Portugal.” Its sustainability statement adds that it manufactures all products in Europe, “the majority in Portugal”. Product pages give the origin of each fabric.
Our Legacy works in Portugal through manufacturing partners and has no Portuguese subsidiary; NorthSouth HQ found no Portuguese company registered to the Swedish brand. A search of the Portuguese tax register does return an “Our Legacy, Lda” (NIF 518072363) in Famões, Odivelas. That is a real-estate brokerage incorporated in March 2024 and has no link to the label. The brand is a member of STICA, the Scandinavian Textile Initiative for Climate Action, and has calculated its CO2 emissions since 2022. Because most of its products are made in Portugal, those calculations depend on its Portuguese factories.
Our Legacy is one of the clearest examples of a Nordic fashion model built on Portugal’s textile and clothing industry. Design and brand stay in Stockholm, and production sits with Portuguese partners. A premium Swedish label that says publicly its range is “almost all” made in Portugal is a strong reference for Portuguese manufacturers pitching to Nordic brands. It also shows how Nordic climate-reporting initiatives such as STICA increasingly depend on data from Portuguese suppliers.
