Corridor footprint

Nimblr is a Swedish security-awareness vendor founded in 2019 and headquartered in Malmö, with the product portfolio spanning phishing and smishing (SMS) simulations, e-learning modules, and a security-awareness platform used by more than 5,000 IT teams across the Nordics and Europe. The company is owned by Stockholm-based software private-equity firm Monterro, which has built a portfolio of Nordic B2B software companies through this and similar growth investments.

In March 2022, Nimblr opened a Lisbon office in Beato, near the planned Beato Creative Hub. Co-founder Rikard Zetterberg, who has lived in Portugal for several years, leads the hub, which combines technology, sales and HR functions and operated with about seven employees at launch. The Lisbon office is Nimblr’s first dedicated international presence outside Sweden and was positioned as the platform for the company’s wider European expansion.

Why this matters for the corridor

Nimblr is a textbook example of the Swedish-software “Lisbon hub” play: Monterro-backed B2B SaaS uses Portugal’s tech labour pool and the founder’s personal relocation to set up a low-cost, English-friendly base camp for European expansion. It is one of the most visible Nordic-software footprints inside the Beato/Marvila tech cluster that NorthSouth HQ tracks across the Lisbon ecosystem.
