Terroir-focused producer built around winemaker Nuno Mira do Ó, active in Portuguese viticulture and oenology since 2001, with projects across the Dão, Bairrada, Bucelas and the Alentejo — including the Druida range begun in 2012 with João Corrêa. Its Vidente Dão Red holds an active listing on Norway’s Vinmonopolet.
The house’s documented Nordic channel is Norway’s Vinmonopolet, which lists Vidente Dão Red — a five-variety blend of Alfrocheiro Preto, Jaen, Rufete, Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional, spontaneously fermented and aged ten months in used casks — at kr 289.90 in the bestillingsutvalget, with Cool Beverage Company AS as the named Norwegian grossist.
Nuno Mira do Ó has worked across Portuguese regions since 2001, co-founding V Puro in 2009 and launching his Dão venture with João Corrêa in 2012 — the project behind the Druida and Vidente labels — before extending to Bucelas in 2016 and to the SOU Vinho Verde collaboration with Quinta de Santiago in 2018.
Vidente’s Vinmonopolet slot shows the Norwegian monopoly’s bestillingsutvalget functioning as an incubation channel for small terroir-driven Portuguese producers beyond the Douro — the Dão’s new wave reaching Nordic shelves.
