Portuguese presence in the Nordics

Mecwide

Industrial Engineering

Mecwide is a Portuguese industrial-engineering group from Maia specialising in piping, metalwork and mechanical EPC services. Through its Mecwide Nordics unit it builds large hyperscale data centres in Norway, including the ~150 MW Hamar campus as mechanical partner to CTS Nordics.

Corridor footprint

Mecwide established Mecwide Nordics (registered in Sweden as Mecwide Nordics Sweden AB, Stockholm) to deliver mechanical works on Norwegian data centres. It is the mechanical partner of CTS Nordics AS on the ~150 MW Hamar campus — installing roughly 6.5 km of chilled-water piping plus heat exchangers and pumps — and is also executing the North Project expansion in Kristiansand.

Why this matters

Mecwide is a flagship Portugal→Nordics industrial-services story: a Maia engineering group winning repeat mechanical contracts on some of Norway’s largest data-centre projects, exporting Portuguese EPC capability into the Nordic AI-infrastructure boom.
