Batalha tableware maker Matcerâmica (NIF 505218470) is named on H&M Group’s August 2026 public supplier list as an in-house home-hardgoods factory that has worked with H&M for less than three years.
nif.pt lists the company as Matcerâmica – Fabrico de Louça, S.A. (NIF 505218470, postal code 2495-036 Batalha). A separate company, Matcerâmica – Desenvolvimento e Serviços, Lda. (NIF 502416416), shares the postal code; the H&M list names the Fabrico de Louça company.
H&M Group’s public supplier list (August 2026 edition, version 1.1) names the factory at Rua da Cerâmica 245, Vale de Ourém, Batalha as a manufacturing unit owned by the supplier (in-house), with home hardgoods as its product type and less than three years of business with H&M. The list records a trade union at the factory.
Matcerâmica’s website says the company was established in 2000 at Vale de Ourém and makes stoneware and earthenware tableware, with a workforce of more than 500 people, a 30,000 m² production facility and a monthly output of more than one million pieces. It says it exports 90% of its production, mainly to the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the UK and China, and describes itself as a world pioneer in digital printing applied to dinnerware; a June 2026 news item on the site reports that it was awarded INOVADORA COTEC 2026 status.
Matcerâmica is the newest of the four home-hardgoods factories on H&M Group’s Portuguese list and the only one with less than three years of business; the other three (Val do Sol, Vasicol and the cutlery maker Herdmar) all sit in the 6–10 year band. Three of the four are now in Leiria district, in Batalha and neighbouring Porto de Mós. For a factory whose website names no Nordic country among its main export markets, the H&M listing is a checkable Nordic reference.
