Vegan footwear brand of Vila Nova de Gaia’s Procalçado group — Europe’s footwear-components specialist founded in 1973 — launched in 2013 and sold across the Nordics through Malmö-based online department store Boozt.
Lemon Jelly is the consumer brand of Procalçado, the Vila Nova de Gaia group founded in 1973 that grew into one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of footwear soles and components under its For Ever brand. After five decades supplying other people’s brands, the group launched Lemon Jelly in 2013 — lemon-scented rubber boots and sneakers, produced in-house and certified 100% vegan by PETA — alongside its professional-clog brand Wock.
The brand’s Nordic distribution runs through Boozt.com, the Malmö-based online department store that serves Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Finland, which carries Lemon Jelly’s women’s rain boots and sneakers — a single listing decision that opened all four Nordic markets at once.
Procalçado marked fifty years of its For Ever components business and has stated the ambition of ranking among Europe’s ten largest footwear-component makers by 2030, with Lemon Jelly and Wock as the group’s brand growth engines.
Lemon Jelly shows the modern PT → Nordics playbook for consumer brands: skip physical retail, win a listing on the region’s dominant fashion e-commerce platform, and let a certified sustainability story do the marketing — a route open to any Portuguese brand with production credibility behind it.
