Its published project list includes a Finnish customer: Valmet, for the MFA2 W177 line at Uusikaupunki, the site of Valmet Automotive’s car plant.
Kontrolstart is an automation contractor registered in the Setúbal district; nif.pt lists it as Kontrolstart, Automação e Robótica, Lda (NIF 507368550, 2860-000 Alhos Vedros), and Racius gives its seat as Rua Catarina Eufémia 9, Cabeço Verde, Alhos Vedros (Moita), with annual accounts on file through 2024. Its website, which gives an office address in Barreiro, says the company has worked since 2005 on the planning, assembly and commissioning of production lines, mainly for the automotive industry. Its services include turnkey projects, electrical cabinets, KUKA, ABB, FANUC, Comau and Yaskawa robot programming, and Siemens, Rockwell, Omron and Schneider PLC programming.
The project list on kontrolstart.com names its Nordic customer. Under “Valmet Projects” it lists the MFA2 W177 job in Uusikaupunki, Finland. Uusikaupunki is home to Valmet Automotive’s contract car plant, which has built Mercedes-Benz models; MFA2 is Mercedes-Benz’s compact-car platform and W177 its code for the A-Class launched in 2018. The list gives no date or contract value. The same list covers work for Ford in Valencia and Cologne, Gestamp, Opel and Stellantis in Zaragoza and Gliwice, Volkswagen Autoeuropa in Palmela, BMW, Magna and SEAT.
Kontrolstart belongs to the KSG Group with Systemaut of Spain and G24 Global Solutions of Kraków, Poland. It also registered in Sweden as a foreign legal entity in March 2025 (organisation number 502098-4695, electrical installation); that registration has been listed as inactive since June 2026.
Kontrolstart is one of the Portuguese line-building teams that grew up around Autoeuropa and the Spanish car plants and now follow carmakers’ programmes across Europe. Its Valmet reference shows that work reaching Finland’s contract car-manufacturing plant at Uusikaupunki.
