Insula Vinus is a family wine project on Pico island in the Azores, led by Pico-born grower Paulo Machado, founded in 2006 and farming about 17 hectares of vines along the island’s south and west coasts, mainly native white varieties grown in the UNESCO-listed (2004) stone-walled vineyard landscape; the cellar and tasting room are at Rua dos Biscoitos 3, 9950-542 São Mateus (+351 292 699 372). Systembolaget lists two Insula Vinus wines in its order range through Vinhantverk Sverige AB: Verdelho (art. 7678001, SEK 430) and Arinto dos Açores (art. 7820501, SEK 429).
