Corridor footprint

Ingka Group, the largest IKEA retailer, invests in renewable energy through Ingka Investments. On 5 March 2026 the group announced that it is transforming an existing wind park in Portugal (25 turbines, 50 MW installed capacity, around 150 GWh a year) into a hybrid hub by adding solar panels that use the same grid connection point. The solar addition is expected to generate 83 GWh a year, for a combined 233 GWh, raising the site’s capacity factor from 34% to 50%. The announcement quoted Laia Andreu, Country Retail Manager and CSO of IKEA Portugal, and Frederik de Jong, Head of Renewable Energy at Ingka Investments. In the Portuguese registry the group holds Ingka Investments Renewable Energy Supply Portugal, Unipessoal, Lda (NIF 518930467), registered at Rua 28 de Setembro, 2660-001 Frielas, under CAE 35140 (electricity distribution); eInforma lists it as active with the ingka.com website.
