Corridor footprint

Infracontrol was founded in Gothenburg in 1993 as an independent system integrator specialised in infrastructure IT, serving primarily state and municipal customers. Since 2003 it has developed Infracontrol Online, a cloud service that combines brand-independent monitoring of technical systems with tools for managing citizen reports, work orders and maintenance — used by Swedish public-sector clients including Gothenburg’s own traffic office. The roughly 30-person company is today part of Sitowise, the Helsinki-listed built-environment consultancy, making it a Swedish operation under Finnish ownership.

Its Portuguese entity, ICP — Infraestruturas Control Portugal, Unipessoal, Lda, is listed in the Luso-Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s catalogue of Swedish investments in Portugal.

Why this matters for the corridor

Municipal digitalisation is one of the corridor’s quieter opportunities: smart-city software proven in Nordic municipalities finds a natural second market in Portuguese câmaras municipais — and Infracontrol’s Sitowise ownership shows intra-Nordic consolidation flowing through to Portuguese subsidiaries.
