IMPACT Commerce is a Danish digital-commerce consultancy founded in 1998, with 400+ staff across Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Serbia and India. In Portugal since 2017, it runs its subsidiary from Évora with a Lisbon office, employs around 50 people, and plans a further €10 million investment to double the Portuguese team.
IMPACT Commerce, founded in Denmark in 1998, is one of Scandinavia’s established e-commerce consultancies, combining strategy, design and software engineering for digital-commerce platforms. The group counts more than 400 employees across Denmark, Sweden, Portugal, Serbia and India. Its Portuguese operation dates to 2017 — early for the Danish tech wave — and is unusual for being headquartered in Évora rather than Lisbon, with a second office at Parque das Nações and a hybrid model spreading the roughly 50-person team across the country.
Over its first eight years the Portuguese subsidiary invested more than €7 million and invoiced over €10 million. In March 2025 the company told ECO it would invest a further €10 million over three years, mainly in recruitment, with the stated potential to double the national team to around 100 people.
IMPACT Commerce is a rare example of Nordic tech investment landing in the Alentejo rather than the two big metros — a decentralisation data point that predates the 2025 wave of interior-Portugal tech hubs, and a Danish beachhead through which Nordic e-commerce work is delivered from Portuguese teams.
