Fortiustex — Comércio de Têxteis, S.A. is an upper-mid-range garment manufacturer founded in 2004 in Leça do Balio, Matosinhos, with around 143 workers at its main site plus the Microsilver unit in Maia. It is named as a Tier-1 apparel supplier on the published supplier list of Fenix Outdoor, the Nasdaq Stockholm-listed group behind Fjällräven.
Fortiustex was created in 2004 out of a textile business in insolvency, rebuilt by shareholders who kept the workforce and repositioned the company in the upper mid-range of series-produced outerwear. Today the S.A. has €2.5 million in share capital and manufactures outer garments at Rua de Recarei 1035 in Leça do Balio, Matosinhos, with a second listed production unit, Microsilver Unipessoal Lda., in neighbouring Maia.
Its verifiable Nordic tie is a named place on the published Tier-1 supplier list of Fenix Outdoor — the Nasdaq Stockholm-listed outdoor group whose flagship brand is Fjällräven — which discloses the Matosinhos site with around 143 workers and the Maia unit with around 54. That puts Fortiustex inside the supply chain of one of Sweden’s most visible apparel exporters.
Published supplier-transparency lists have become the most reliable public evidence of Portugal’s role in Nordic fashion and outdoor supply chains. Fortiustex’s presence on Fenix Outdoor’s list places Matosinhos sewing capacity directly behind Fjällräven’s technical apparel — the kind of quiet, structural PT→Nordics link the corridor is built on.
