Alentejo producer founded in 2004 by winemaker António Maçanita and viticulturist David Booth, a leader of the region’s modern-terroir wave. Systembolaget carries multiple Fitapreta wines, including Rosé dos Villões 2024 (art. 9020901) and Touriga Vai Nua 2024 (art. 9459301) in Sweden.
Fitapreta was founded in 2004 by winemaker António Maçanita and viticulturist David Booth and grew into one of Alentejo’s defining modern producers, working from a medieval-era estate near Évora with a focus on old field blends and fresher, earlier-picked styles than the regional norm.
In Sweden, Systembolaget lists several Fitapreta wines, including Rosé dos Villões 2024 (article 9020901) and the unoaked Touriga Vai Nua 2024 (article 9459301) — giving the producer a live retail presence in the Swedish monopoly.
Maçanita is one of Portuguese wine’s most visible modern names, and Fitapreta’s Systembolaget listings put the new-Alentejo style — rather than only the traditional powerhouse reds — in front of Swedish consumers. It is exactly the premium-fresh profile the Nordic monopolies have been buying from Portugal since 2024.
