Offshore-wind fabrication company of the Setúbal-based Etermar engineering group (Etermar – Energia, S.A., NIF 517861011). In March 2025 it started its first offshore-wind contract, awarded by Denmark’s Ørsted and Poland’s PGE for the 1.5 GW Baltica 2 wind farm: more than 100 external working platforms for the turbine foundations.
Etermar Energia is the offshore-wind company of the Etermar group from Setúbal; nif.pt lists it as Etermar – Energia, S.A. (NIF 517861011) at postcode 2910-738 Setúbal, the same postcode as the group’s engineering company, Etermar – Engenharia, S.A. (NIF 500101531).
Its Nordic customer is Ørsted, the Danish offshore-wind developer. According to ECO (19 March 2025) and Offshore Wind (20 March 2025), Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna — joint owners and developers of the 1.5 GW Baltica 2 offshore wind farm in the Polish Baltic — awarded Etermar Energia a contract for secondary foundation structures: the fabrication, storage and load-out of more than 100 external working platforms giving access to the wind-turbine towers, all delivered with a monopile door and two of them with radar platforms. Work started in March 2025 at the company’s Setúbal headquarters, which the company says has the country’s only privately owned port terminal.
It was the company’s first contract in offshore wind. In the company’s statement, quoted by ECO, executive director Luís Machado said the award came after almost three years of audits, qualification and tendering, and showed that Etermar had won Ørsted’s confidence.
Etermar Energia is one of the few Portuguese fabricators in the supply chain of a Danish offshore-wind developer. Baltica 2 sits in Polish waters, but the qualification and the customer relationship run through Ørsted — a route into Nordic offshore-wind procurement that other Portuguese metalworking firms can study.
