Corridor footprint

The Mecwide group, founded by Carlos Palhares, opened the DC Piping factory in Vila Nova de Cerveira in June 2024 to prefabricate piping for data-centre construction. O Minho reported that DC Piping was formed in partnership with Victaulic and the Norwegian data-centre builder CTS Nordics, that the plant was an investment of about €8 million employing 60 people, and that its first shipment left at the end of May 2024 for Norway, where the group has projects in development.

Why this matters

CTS Group, the parent of CTS Nordics, has built much of its Portuguese supply chain around Nordic data-centre projects, and named Mecwide as a strategic partner on the Green Mountain OSL-Hamar data-centre complex in Norway. DC Piping is the manufacturing end of that relationship: Portuguese-made pipe spools for Nordic data halls.
