Corridor footprint

Cyncly opened its operations centre for the European market in Lisbon in April 2025, after a selection process that analysed more than 40 European cities — “Lisbon stood out for its quality of talent and business environment,” said Chief Transformation Officer João Bôto Gonçalves. The hub is planned to reach 60 employees in its first year and up to 300 by 2027, housing implementation consulting, customer success, marketing, sales, finance and HR for the European market.

The Lisbon centre is one of three global operating hubs alongside India and Brazil, giving the group follow-the-sun customer support. Cyncly’s corridor lineage runs through Norway: the company was built on Compusoft, founded in Sarpsborg in 1989, whose kitchen-design software became a European standard before the merger with 2020 Technologies created the group now named Cyncly.

Why this matters for the corridor

A software group with Norwegian roots choosing Lisbon as its European operational anchor — over 40 rival cities — is one of the clearest recent votes of confidence in Portugal as a Nordic-heritage tech operations base, and one of the larger announced tech job-creation plans in the corridor.
