Norwegian data-centre design-and-build group (CTS Nordics, headquartered in Oslo) that opened its European base in Lisbon in February 2025 and is building a data-centre power-module factory in Viana do Castelo with Eaton.
CTS Group — operating in the region as CTS Nordics — chose Lisbon as the base for its European expansion, opening an office in Parque das Nações in February 2025 with around 50 staff to run engineering and construction across the continent. Through NordicEPOD, its joint venture with Eaton, the group is also establishing a factory in Viana do Castelo to produce EPOD power modules for data centres, a project expected to employ around 500 people.
CTS Group sits inside the Portugal ↔ Scandinavia business corridor that NorthSouth HQ tracks every day. As a Nordic company with a documented presence in Portugal, its operations are a data point in the broader story of how capital, goods, people and ideas flow between Portugal and the Nordics — a corridor that is accelerating in 2026.
