Norwegian software, cloud and AI advisory group, listed on Oslo Børs and now combining with Switzerland's SoftwareOne to form one of the world's largest software and cloud providers. Crayon operates in Portugal as Crayon Software Licensing, Unipessoal Lda from Lispolis in Lisbon and was named Microsoft's 2024 Scale Solutions Partner of the Year — a flagship corridor reference.
Crayon's Portuguese subsidiary, Crayon Software Licensing, Unipessoal Lda, was incorporated in September 2014 and is based at Rua António Champalimaud (Lispolis tech park, Lisbon). The Lisbon team operates as a country-level licensing, cloud advisory and AI-consulting practice, supporting Portuguese enterprise customers across the Microsoft, AWS, Adobe and ServiceNow ecosystems.
Globally, Crayon employs around 4,200 people across more than 45 countries, listed on Oslo Børs since 2017. In June 2024 the company was named Microsoft's Scale Solutions (LSP) Partner of the Year — a global award recognising the company's consolidated software and cloud licensing practice, with the Portuguese operation contributing as part of the European footprint. In 2024 Crayon and Switzerland-headquartered SoftwareOne announced a combination that, when complete, will create one of the world's largest software, cloud and AI services groups; the integration is now in progress and is expected to materially reshape Crayon's Iberian operating model.
Crayon Portugal is one of the clearest examples of how Nordic IT-services discipline translates into Portuguese enterprise IT spend. Microsoft's Partner-of-the-Year recognition is, in practical sales terms, one of the most consequential vendor signals in the Portuguese mid-market — and the Lisbon team participates directly in that motion. The pending SoftwareOne combination will also test how a globally consolidated cloud-services group treats its Iberian go-to-market — a useful corridor signal for other Nordic IT consolidators (Atea, Advania, Tieto).
In June 2024 Crayon was named Microsoft's Scale Solutions (LSP) Partner of the Year. The Crayon-SoftwareOne combination announced in 2024 is in execution; the merged entity will reshape Iberian operations, with SoftwareOne already running a substantial Lisbon presence in its own right.
