Corridor footprint

Copenhagen Coffee Lab brought Nordic specialty-coffee culture to Portugal, opening its first Lisbon location on Rua Nova da Piedade in Príncipe Real in 2015. Founded by Danish entrepreneurs, the brand pairs Scandinavian minimalist interiors with serious coffee — brewed via V60, Chemex, Aeropress and French press — and a bakery offer.

The brand has expanded into a multi-café network across Lisbon, with locations in neighbourhoods including Alcântara, Alfama, Baixa, Cais do Sodré, Santa Clara and Campo de Ourique, plus a roastery and a mobile coffee unit. Portugal has become a core market for the Danish concept rather than a single outpost.

Why this matters for the corridor

Copenhagen Coffee Lab is a consumer-facing expression of the corridor: a Danish hospitality brand that chose Lisbon as a growth base and helped seed Portugal’s third-wave coffee culture. It shows the breadth of the Nordic→Portugal flow — from heavy industry and tech down to everyday retail and lifestyle.
