ComfySocks is a Danish manufacturer of private-label technical, sport and performance socks that relocated its production to Portugal’s textile heartland. Its Portuguese plant in Vila Nova de Famalicão turns out an estimated 3–4 million pairs a year and runs partly on its own on-site solar power.
ComfySocks moved manufacturing into Vila Nova de Famalicão, in the heart of Portugal’s textile cluster, operating through the registered entity Comfysocks Portugal Unipessoal, Lda. The plant is reported to produce roughly 3–4 million pairs of socks a year, with on-site solar generation covering part of its energy needs.
ComfySocks is a clean example of a Nordic manufacturer embedding real production capacity in Portugal rather than simply sourcing from it — a Danish brand using the Norte region’s textile expertise as its industrial base.
