Casa de Sarmento, S.A. is the wine arm of a Bairrada family group that began in 1980 with the Meta dos Leitões roast-suckling-pig restaurant on the EN1 at Mealhada (Estrada Nacional 1, Km 234, 3050-382 Mealhada; +351 231 209 540), later adding Metinha dos Leitões at Anadia and a winery on the EN234 between Mealhada and Cantanhede making Bairrada and Beira still wines, Baga sparkling wines, bag-in-box and the Sarmentinho range. Its Espumante Branco Bairrada won gold at the 2016 Portugal Wine Trophy. Casa de Sarmento Branco Bruto sits in Systembolaget’s fixed assortment (art. 2012801, SEK 149) through importer Boa Pressão AB, launched 1 March 2025.
