AxFlow was created in 1989 as the fluid-handling arm of Axel Johnson International, the Stockholm-based industrial group whose family ownership dates back to 1873. Through more than three decades of acquisitions it has grown into one of Europe’s leading sources of positive-displacement pumps, valves, mixers, heat exchangers and engineered fluid-handling systems for the process industries, operating in over 30 countries across Europe and beyond, with offices and service locations in 26 European markets.
The group’s Portuguese company, AxFlow — Comércio de Equipamentos Industriais, Lda, is listed in the Luso-Swedish Chamber of Commerce’s catalogue of Swedish investments in Portugal, giving Portuguese food, pharma, chemical, water and energy processors local access to the group’s pump brands and application engineering.
