Corridor footprint

Autocirc is a Nordic Capital-backed Swedish group building a closed-loop ecosystem for original automotive spare parts — reused, remanufactured and recycled. Founded in 2019, it has grown across Europe through serial acquisitions in the dismantling, auto-parts and recycling space. The Portuguese entry came in 2024 with the signing — and July 2024 closing — of SVP Auto, an established vehicle dismantler and second-hand parts trader based in Portugal.

Why this matters

Portugal’s end-of-life vehicle (ELV) and auto-aftermarket sectors are historically fragmented, with hundreds of small dismantlers. Autocirc’s entry imports a Nordic professionalisation playbook — digitised inventory, insurer partnerships, cross-border parts routing, EV-specific handling — into that landscape. It is also a vote of confidence from Nordic Capital in Portugal as a circular-economy operating base for southern Europe.

Recent activity

In December 2025 Autocirc launched EV360™, described as Europe’s first standardised circular platform for safe dismantling, testing and resale of EV parts and second-life batteries — a capability that will roll through the group’s Portuguese operation as Portugal’s EV fleet ages. Autocirc has also continued European roll-up, acquiring dismantling networks in France (including the Auto Pièces Careco group) alongside its Portuguese expansion.
