Aceve (formerly HVD Group) is a Stockholm-headquartered vertical-SaaS leader for the construction and skilled-trades industry, majority-owned by EQT since 2024 alongside Adelis. Its Portuguese tech hub employs 50+ people building software for brands such as Hantverksdata and Craftnote.
Aceve’s Portuguese operation is a dedicated technology hub of more than 50 people, developing and supporting the group’s software products — including Sweden’s Hantverksdata, the craftsman-ERP that anchors the group, and Germany’s Craftnote. The company recruits actively in Portugal through its own careers site, which lists Portugal as a standing region alongside its seven operating countries.
The group, renamed from HVD Group to Aceve as it accelerated its European expansion, was acquired by EQT as majority owner in 2024, with Adelis Equity remaining invested. From Stockholm it serves the construction and skilled-trades industry across Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
Aceve is a textbook example of the quiet second wave of Nordic tech investment in Portugal: not a marquee consumer brand, but an EQT-backed B2B software group that has made Portuguese engineering a structural part of how it builds product for northern European customers.
